Greg Cannon, CPC, CFSP, CCO, is passionate about creativity in the workplace to develop client businesses, solve employee issues and address bottom-line financial needs. 

 

A sought-after speaker, Cannon believes in the power of “thinking outside the box.”  His proven record is reflected in a client base that saw positive revenue growth immediately after implementing Cannon’s low cost, innovative ways to attract new business—and grow existing. 

 

His professional origins are in funeral service.  Mr. Cannon is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Georgia; a certified licensed insurance agent in Georgia; and a grief facilitator certified by the American Academy of Bereavement.  

 

He is well-experienced in media relations and has spoken widely to diverse funeral service and public groups and to television stations and newspaper outlets. 

 

Mr. Cannon is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Decatur, GA, where he served as class president and a member of Pi Sigma Eta. In addition to AG Associates, he is former co-owner and CEO of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors, Southern Crescent Crematorium and Companion Care Cremation Services, all located in McDonough, GA. 

 

He served on the Mass Fatality Team for the 7-county area of Metro Atlanta and the Mass Fatality Planning Team for the state of Georgia. 

 

He also has served on the National Policy Board of the National Funeral Directors Association, Executive Board of Georgia Funeral Directors Association, and Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust Board of Trustees.

 

Memberships include:  National Funeral Directors Association, Selected Independent Funeral Directors Association, and the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia. He formerly served as the Coroner and a County Commissioner of Henry County, GA; is past secretary of the McDonough, GA, Rotary Club, a member of McDonough Presbyterian Church, past member of the Henry County (GA) Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the McDonough Business Association, and the Sacred Journey Hospice Foundation Board of Directors.
